Canon Dr 2850c Driver For Mac

Does anyone know if there is a driver for the Canon DR-2580C document scanner which will work with Snow Leopard? The scanner shows up in the System Profiler under the USB section. The Canon web site only lists Windows drivers for the scanner and a Google search was unable to find any reference to a Mac OS X driver.

As for that KB from Apple, it just shows the drivers that the vendors supply to Apple so that they can be downloaded to the Mac from Software Update when adding the device. It is not a list of what Apple officially supports, which some incorrectly assume it is.
